Apple TV has just announced the return of one of its biggest sci-fi hits: Silo season 3 is coming this summer.
Silo season 3 premiere set for July 3 on Apple TV
There’s no shortage of top-tier sci-fi shows on Apple TV, and one of the streamer’s acclaimed hits—Silo—is coming back soon.
Silo season 3 will premiere on Friday, July 3 with its first episode, followed by weekly releases through September 4.
The highly anticipated return will bring 10 new episodes total, and serve as the penultimate season. Season 4 is already well on its way to completion.
Here’s Apple’s official season 3 summary, followed by the first teaser trailer:
Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.
Silo is based on a trilogy of popular novels by Hugh Howey. Seasons 1 and 2 both covered the first title in the trilogy, while seasons 3 and 4 will intersperse events from books 2 and 3.
Apple TV has several other highly-anticipated series coming this summer too, which you can read about here.
