It’s dummy unit season
Over the past few weeks, rumors about Apple’s first foldable iPhone have mostly converged on a device with a passport-like aspect ratio when closed and a more tablet-like aspect ratio and experience when opened.
Just a few days ago, reliable leaker Sonny Dickson published a photo of an iPhone Fold dummy unit, alongside purported dummy units of the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which came just as Macworld reported that the device will likely be called iPhone Ultra.

Now, Unbox Therapy has published a 10-minute video showcasing a dummy unit of the iPhone Ultra, offering a clearer sense of the device’s overall form factor and how it might feel in the hand.
Importantly, the hardware itself, including (and especially) the hinge mechanism, is obviously not meant to reflect what Apple will ultimately ship. That’s not the point of the video. Instead, it focuses on the physical experience: how the device feels when open and closed, its pocketability, how easy it may be to reach its buttons, and details like speaker placement and overall ergonomics.
The video includes detailed measurements of the dummy unit, which comes in at 117 mm in height, 84.27 mm in width, and 11.02 mm in thickness when closed without the camera bump, increasing to 16.57 mm with it, and around 5.2 mm when opened.
It also shows how much the device wobbles when placed camera-down on a table, both when opened and closed.
