Why This Matters

The upcoming iOS 27 update promises to significantly enhance Apple Notes by integrating advanced Siri AI capabilities, making it easier for users to create and organize notes through voice commands. This development underscores Apple's focus on leveraging AI to improve user productivity and streamline information management, which could reshape how consumers interact with their devices and digital notes. For the tech industry, this signals a move towards more intelligent, voice-activated workflows that could influence future app and OS design trends.

Key Takeaways

Apple Notes has long been one of my most-used apps, and iOS 27 is rumored to add a powerful new capability that I know will quickly become a go-to feature for me.

iOS 27’s new Siri expected to have special Notes integration

I’m a heavy Apple Notes user, with nearly 2,700 notes in iCloud currently. So any time Apple adds new features to the Notes app, I’m especially intrigued.

iOS 26 offered some modest updates to Notes, like the clever Adaptive Toolbar and Markdown import and export. My favorite change is probably just the Liquid Glass UI.

But iOS 27 is rumored to offer a much bigger upgrade thanks to the new Siri and special integration with the Notes app.

All signs point to iOS 27 bringing the Siri we’ve all been waiting for. It will introduce not only the promised iOS 18 features that got delayed, but also a complete modernization for the AI era.

Siri will be a full-featured chatbot like ChatGPT, with a dedicated app and expertise in world knowledge. Its LLM foundation, based on a Google Gemini variant, will enable Siri to offer the convenience and intelligence seen with competitors like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

But Siri will also reportedly come with a special advantage for Apple Notes users, and I’m very excited for it.
