Apple’s 180-degree immersive video format, Apple Immersive, has enabled a unique glimpse into the football club Real Madrid thanks to a new film.
Real Madrid: The Weight of Greatness will premiere this Friday, May 22 on Apple Vision Pro.
The 20-minute documentary intersperses shots of on-field action with interviews centered around the historic club. Footage was captured during the 2025 Champions League, and includes star players like Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior, and Thibaut Courtois.
Apple says Real Madrid: The Weight of Greatness is one of its largest Apple Immersive productions to date. The film was shot using more than 30 Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive cameras over the span of five days.

I was able to watch the film in advance, and was impressed by how well it works across a variety of different scenes.
My favorite parts were the on-the-field football play, as sports are especially compelling in Apple’s new format. But Apple Immersive was also skillfully employed with more intimate interview clips too.
Vision Pro owners will be able to watch Real Madrid: The Weight of Greatness for free in the Apple TV app starting Friday.
