In the originally published version of this article, several figure captions in the Extended Data contained incorrect descriptions of the applied fields. In Extended Data Fig. 2, the caption “There is no external magnetic field (B = 0) or displacement field (D = 0)” should have read “with an 80 mT magnetic field and no electric field”. In Extended Data Figs. 4 and 5, the caption “with no electric or magnetic field” should have read “with an 80 mT magnetic field and no electric field”. An 80 mT magnetic field was used to suppress magnetic fluctuations in the QAH state1 (see also Extended Data Fig. 1d). These errors have now been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
Author Correction: Hidden states and dynamics of fractional fillings in twisted MoTe2 bilayers
Why This Matters
This correction clarifies the experimental conditions involving an 80 mT magnetic field in the study of twisted MoTe2 bilayers, which is crucial for understanding the magnetic properties and quantum anomalous Hall states. Accurate descriptions of the applied fields are vital for researchers replicating or building upon this work, ensuring the integrity of ongoing research in 2D materials and topological phases.
Key Takeaways
- Corrected figure captions specify the use of an 80 mT magnetic field in experiments.
- Accurate field descriptions are essential for reproducibility and further research in 2D topological materials.
- The correction enhances clarity in the study of magnetic fluctuations and quantum anomalous Hall states in twisted MoTe2 bilayers.
