Apple previewed iOS 27 and the new Siri AI system today. Now it’s time for developers and eager early adopters to start testing the new software. The first iOS 27 developer beta is now available.
You can sign up to start testing Apple’s iOS 27 developer beta here, although early pre-release versions of Apple software usually have battery life issues and missing features.
If you’ve previously tested iOS betas, you’ll likely need to switch to the iOS 27 developer beta train from iOS 26 betas.
Based on what Apple showed today, iOS 27 is largely focused on delivering Siri AI and new Apple Intelligence features.
Beyond AI, iOS 27 is all about quality-of-life improvements across the system, starting with design.
Apple also heavily focused on privacy and safety, including parental controls, during today’s keynote.
iOS 27 is available in beta for developers starting today. A public beta release will follow in July. The iPhone software update will be available for everyone this fall. Apple typically releases major new software updates in September.
