June is a month full of video game announcements, and Microsoft revealed the newest titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of the month. Although a little underwhelming, even with a couple of quality titles like Undisputed and Persona 5 Royal, it does seem like the Xbox maker has a few surprises up its sleeve for its Xbox Games Showcase.

Xbox Game Pass, a CNET Editors' Choice award pick, offers a wide selection of games that you can play on your Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC or mobile device for as little as $10 a month. And with a subscription to the higher-tiered Game Pass Ultimate ($23 a month), you can access hundreds of games, including new ones the day they're released, each month.

Here are the games Microsoft plans to bring to Game Pass in June. You can also check out other games the company added to the service in May, including Forza Horizon 6 and more options in our list of the best gaming subscriptions.

Herdling

Coming to Game Pass Premium on June 4. Previously on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Herdling is an atmospheric adventure game from Okomotive. Players guide and protect a herd of mysterious creatures called Calicorns as they journey from a decaying city through forests, valleys and mountain ranges toward a distant summit. Along the way, you'll recruit new members to the herd, overcome environmental obstacles, solve light puzzles and avoid dangers that threaten your companions. The game focuses on exploration, companionship and survival, with a wordless story, stunning landscapes and stampede sequences that emphasize the bond between the player and their herd.

Total Chaos

Coming to Game Pass Premium on June 4. Previously on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Set on the abandoned island of Fort Oasis, Total Chaos blends survival horror, exploration and resource management into a tense first-person experience. Players search derelict buildings, underground tunnels and industrial facilities for supplies while crafting weapons and tools needed to survive encounters with grotesque creatures. Limited resources and a constant sense of isolation create a feeling of vulnerability as strange radio messages pull you deeper into the island's mysteries. The game combines atmospheric horror, environmental storytelling and psychological twists as players uncover what happened to the once-thriving mining community.
