Mophie’s been a mainstay in the charging tech industry, and today, they have an all new lineup of premium 25W MagSafe charging products for Apple users – available from Mophie.com and Apple Retail.
While most 25W MagSafe chargers deploy some kind of active cooling tech, Mophie has a new approach meant to keep your devices cool without the additional noise – dubbed StealthCharge.
There’s three new MagSafe charging products to go over, all of which support 25W MagSafe with their new passive cooling technology. For the 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 chargers, Mophie moved most of the heat-intensive components to the base of the stand – keeping the heat away from your phone. Traditionally, many of the components will be located alongside where the MagSafe charging puck is. On the travel 3-in-1, theres vents that ensure heat doesn’t get trapped inside the charger.
In any case, Mophie has some of the sleekest chargers on the market – and I’ll be diving into each one right here.
4-in-1 Charge Stand
The 4-in-1 is interesting because it packs one of last year’s big tech trends into the base: a retractable cable. You have your normal 3-in-1 array: a phone, watch, and AirPods charger, plus the cable for any USB-C device you need to plug in.
The USB-C cable isn’t incredibly long, but it’ll work just fine on a nightstand or desk. I’d say it’s between 2 and 3 feet. This cable can output up to 60W, making it suitable for your phone (if you prefer wired charging), an iPad, or even a MacBook Air. Mophie includes a 100W power adapter in the box to ensure the right amount of power for all of your devices.
Design wise, Mophie’s 4-in-1 definitely stands out, with a nice aluminum base and stand, a nice feeling hinge for the phone puck (you can rotate it), and a thin design overall. It definitely stands out compared to some of the plastic options on the market.
This 4-in-1 comes in at $179.99, and comes in three colors: Black, Champagne (pictured here), and White. For a cheaper option, you can consider their 3-in-1 outlined below.
