Why This Matters

VSCO's launch of Studio Pro marks a significant step toward integrating advanced editing and workflow tools tailored for professional photographers. By offering features like batch editing, Style Match, and seamless integration with other VSCO products, the app enhances productivity and creative consistency for industry professionals. This development signals VSCO's strategic shift to serve the evolving needs of the professional photography market, benefiting both creators and consumers seeking high-quality visual content.

Key Takeaways

VSCO today announced Studio Pro, an app designed specifically for professional photographers and more advanced editing workflows. Here are the details.

Studio Pro app available now on iOS

While VSCO is best known for tools aimed at photographers of all levels looking to edit, share, and develop their work, the company has more recently expanded its focus to include the business and production needs of professional photographers.

That includes VSCO Workspace, which brings client management, bookings, contracts, and invoicing into a single platform, VSCO Canvas, a collaborative moodboarding and photoshoot-planning tool, and VSCO Sites, a no-code website builder for creating and maintaining photography portfolios.

Today, the company announced yet another tool aimed at pro photographers: the Studio Pro app, available now on iOS and, as VSCO tells 9to5Mac, coming later this year to macOS.

With the new Studio Pro app, photographers can batch edit up to 100 photos at once, quickly applying presets, filters, and more, making full photoshoot edits faster.

Studio Pro also includes Style Match, a tool that “analyzes any image and recreates its color, tone, and mood using a tailored combination of presets and tools.” VSCO says photographers can use it to consistently reproduce their own visual style or quickly match the look requested in a client brief.

As part of the VSCO family of products, Studio Pro integrates with VSCO Galleries, making it easier to “create professional client photo and video galleries with collaborative uploads and clean, distraction-free presentation.”

VSCO’s new Studio Pro app is available in the Starter, Plus, and Pro plans, but it will also be a part of VSCO One, a soon-to-be-released $499.99/year plan that will also include access to Galleries, Workspace, Sites, AI Lab, Canvas, Capture, in addition to VSCO’s photography communities, and the company’s The Freelance Photographer professional development resources.
