MLB app gives baseball fans a new iPhone and iPad real-time scores widget

Baseball season is well underway, and the MLB app just gave fans a new way to keep up with real-time scores and more.

The latest version of the official Major League Baseball app for iPhone and iPad highlights an upgraded home screen widget.

We’re excited to introduce the new MLB Scores Widget. Now you can track real-time updates, daily matchups, and final scores all from your home screen. How to add it: Press and hold your home screen, tap the + icon, search for MLB, and choose your widget.

The widget reflects activity based on which teams you favorite inside the app.

You can also edit the widget directly form your home screen to select a different team to track.

The MLB app is generally a well-featured experience. The MLB app runs on iPhone, iPad, CarPlay, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.

Beyond Major League Baseball, Apple’s own Sports app has been getting better and better with regular updates.
