If you look around all the normal wbesites for a 3-in-1 MagSafe charger for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, you will find hundreds of options made of plastic. They all work well, but sometimes you might want something that is more of a premium feels. The NOCO XGrid XDS3 is one of those options. It is certainly not the most affordable option on the market, but it is undoubtedly one of the best (and best looking)

MagSafe Monday: Every Monday, Bradley Chambers looks at the latest and greatest in the MagSafe and wireless charging industry to help you get the most out of your Apple devices that support wireless charging.

Premium form factor

The build quality is the first thing that stands out to me with the NOCO XGrid XDS3. It uses a precision die-cast metal chassis, so it’s balanced and won’t pull up when you pull a device off. When you grab your iPhone off of it, you don’t have to hold the base down with your other hand. The NOCO XGrid XDS3 stays planted exactly where you put it.

Because it is a vertical stand rather than a flat pad, it’s compatible with StandBy mode. You can put your iPhone horizontally to see the time, your calendar, etc., while you work at your desk or lie in bed. It also has a really nice sculpted design that looks visually clean, helping your setup avoid clutter.

NOCO XGrid XDS3: checking every box

While we might eventually see Qi2.2 in a future model, this stand checks absolutely every box you could possibly want. It’s Qi2-certified, delivering up to 15 watts of wireless charging to your iPhone.

Where many MagSafe chargers often cut corners is with the Apple Watch charger. They often use slow, non-certified chargers to save money. The NOCO XGrid XDS3 has an MFi-certified Apple Watch fast charger that can get a Series 10 watch from zero to 80% in half an hour. Behind the watch, there is a dedicated 5-watt pad for your AirPods, with an LED light showing when it’s charging

I hate it when a higher-priced dock don’t include power adapters. If I am paying a premium price, I want it all. NOCO completely delivers with the NOCO XGrid XDS3. Inside the box, you get a 45-watt USB-C wall charger, a 6.5-foot braided USB-C cable, and a set of swappable international plugs (NA/JP, EU, UK, AU). The international plugs are a nice bonus for me as well.
