Starting today, Strava users will have a new way to discover races, group runs, rides, and other local events directly in the app. Here are the details.

Strava doubles down on community-driven engagement

Strava announced today a new Events sub-tab in the app’s Groups tab, which will display location-based group runs, rides, and races, “making it easier to find ways to move and connect with others,” according to the company.

Strava says the new Events sub-tab will integrate with information from the Runna training app.

The new Events sub-tab features a Races hub that matches the user’s next running goal, along with their schedule and preferences, to upcoming races. Users can browse upcoming races and take action from there to participate.

The company also revamped the Club Organizer Hub, which is available at strava.com/club-organizers, “with new and updated resources to help both new and returning organizers build and grow their clubs.”

The company says run club memberships grew by more than 59% in 2025, with Strava now home to more than 1 million clubs and 60% of event attendees returning monthly.

Here’s Strava on today’s news:

The launch of Races within Strava brings thousands of active global events, now native in Strava. Users can also search races across a number of filters, including: distance, date, location, sport, elevation and temperature. Similarly, local Club Events can be filtered by date, location, format and distance.
