Apple Invites app updated with two new invitation features for hosts and guests

Apple Invites just got its second app update this summer, adding two new digital invitation features for users.

Invites is Apple’s digital event planning app for iCloud+ subscribers. It’s available on iPhone and iPad. The app doesn’t require an iPhone or a paid iCloud account to respond to digital events created with Apple Invites.

July’s release introduces two new features around host and guest interactions:

Hosts and guests can now react to replies with emoji, so everyone can share the excitement as the guest list comes together.

A delightful confetti animation now plays when guests reply, making every response feel like a celebration.

These two features follow June’s update that added cohosting, public guest lists, and new backgrounds. Prior to that release, Apple Invites gained its first iMessage app, putting Invites where people are already chatting.

Apple Invites for iPhone is available on the App Store. Creating a digital invitation requires iCloud+, and anyone can respond.
