GoKawiilPocket Casts is making the jump to the biggest screen in the house. The podcast player launched an Apple TV app today, giving listeners a native way to keep their queue going from the couch.
Pocket Casts launches on Apple TV, with Android TV coming soon
The tvOS app is free, just like Pocket Casts on its other platforms. It brings users their podcasts, Up Next queue, history, and synced playback position.
An episode started during a commute can resume on Apple TV at home without finding the show or scrubbing to the right spot.
“Same Up Next. Same history. Same place in every episode, room to room,” Pocket Casts says in its announcement. An Android TV version is coming soon following the new Apple TV app launch.
Pocket Casts has also had a busy summer of app updates.
Its iPhone app adopted Apple’s Liquid Glass design in June. Then a July update followed that brought chapter artwork to the Lock Screen, Control Center, and CarPlay.
Beyond Pocket Casts
New tvOS apps are rare enough that WordPress TV’s debut earlier this month also stood out.
For Apple Podcasts users, tvOS 27 will upgrade Apple’s official app on the big screen with video podcast support this fall. tvOS 27 is currently available in beta for developers and public beta testers.
