A little over a week ago, Google announced that order tracking had fully rolled out to Google Wallet for everyone in the US. First announced in June, the idea behind order tracking is simple: let you see and track all your online orders — not just those made through Google Pay — in the Wallet app.
Google didn’t make much fanfare about Wallet’s order tracking, and when I first heard about it, I didn’t think much of it either. However, after having the feature on my Wallet app for the last few days, I’m completely sold.

There’s no shortage of ways to track online orders on your Android phone in 2026. The Google Play Store is filled with apps dedicated to order tracking, many of which have been around for years. Google itself already shows recent online orders in the Gmail app, and you can use Gemini to do this, too.
That’s all fine and dandy, but I’m not particularly keen about any of these solutions. I don’t want or need another app on my phone. I like to spend as little time as possible looking at my email inbox, and I don’t trust Gemini to get my order information right.
Order tracking in Google Wallet pulls its information from your Gmail account, so the data it gathers really isn’t that different from the Gmail order info that exists today. However, I think it having a home in the Wallet app makes a lot more sense.
There are two main ways to interact with order tracking in Google Wallet: home screen pop-ups and the main transactions page. I first realized order tracking had come to my Wallet app when I opened it and saw a pop-up that a recent Walmart order had been delivered. Tapping the pop-up showed more information about the order (including the order total, order number, etc.), and tapping the X icon dismissed it from the Wallet home page. Clean, simple, and effective.
