iOS 27 beta 5 arrived this week, and it includes confirmation of something Apple has hinted before: paying for higher iCloud+ tiers unlocks more access to Apple Intelligence features.
Higher iCloud+ tiers unlock more access to AI features in iOS 27
If you’re an iCloud+ or Apple One subscriber, iOS 27 will introduce new features with your subscription.
You’ll get more access to Apple Intelligence features that have usage limits (such as image generation), and also new HomeKit Secure Video capabilities for cameras.
But according to iOS 27 beta 5, it seems those new features will vary in limits based on your iCloud+ plan.
Inside the Home app ⇾ Home Settings ⇾ Apple Intelligence ⇾ Cameras and Language, iOS 27 now shows how many cameras your iCloud+ plan supports AI summaries for. Per Stephen Robles on X:
