TL;DR A leak has spilled the beans on the upcoming POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra’s hardware specifications, including large batteries and Qualcomm’s latest silicon.

The two phones are expected to be EU-bound versions of the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max that recently debuted in China.

While both phones offer Bose-branded onboard speakers, the F9 Ultra also includes an LED notification ring around the rear speaker.

The average smartphone battery capacity keeps growing each year, a phenomenon analysts attribute to Chinese smartphone brands and improved battery tech. Xiaomi sub-brand POCO is preparing to bring that battery tech to the European market, and a leak is now offering an early look at its upcoming flagships.

Exclusive reporting by WinFuture offers a good glimpse of the two premium-grade flagships, which are effectively European rebrands of the Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max, which recently debuted in China. Among the leaked highlights of the top-of-the-line POCO F9 Ultra is a mammoth 8,050mAh battery, while the smaller F9 Pro features a 6,330mAh battery pack instead, which is a substantial upgrade compared to flagships from top brands.

As the publication points out, the battery capacities on the two upcoming POCO flagships are significantly reduced compared to their China-exclusive counterparts. For reference, the Redmi K100 Pro and the Pro Max offer 8,580mAh and 9,070mAh battery packs, respectively. The F9 Pro and Ultra will reportedly retain support for 100W fast wired charging and USB Power Delivery, though.

Meanwhile, the F9 Pro will reportedly sport a 6.59-inch OLED screen, while the F9 Ultra will offer a larger 6.85-inch display instead, both with a 185Hz refresh rate. The phones are also said to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. However, it’s unclear whether they will come equipped with the more affordable version of Qualcomm’s flagship mobile chip that debuted with the Redmi K100 series.

In the camera department, both the POCO F9 Pro and the F9 Ultra will reportedly offer a 200MP, f/1.68 main camera. However, the Pro reportedly gets an 8MP ultrawide camera, whereas the F9 Ultra could pack a larger 50MP unit. Both telephoto cameras are 50MP units, with the F9 Ultra offering 5x optical zoom, while the F9 Pro will seemingly settle for 3x optical zoom. POCO will supposedly offer the same 32MP front camera across both F9 models.
