GoKawiilApple’s MagSafe wallet is likely the default option for most people looking to carry a driver’s license, a credit card, and a little cash on the back of their iPhone. Apple’s Find My integration is nice, but that convenience comes at a price, literally, since it costs about double what most third-party MagSafe wallets cost.
Some people also hate the material choice as well. The Urban Fit remains one of my favorite alternatives to Apple’s own wallet. At roughly half the cost, it holds up to three cards and still works great as a MagSafe wallet.

Why MagSafe wallets?
I still look at MagSafe wallets as a bridge to the future. Once you can pay with Apple Pay everywhere you go and store your driver’s license/ ID directly on your iPhone, you’ll only need to carry your phone when you leave the house. We’re closer to that future than we were a couple years ago, but until it’s fully there, I’m still carrying a wallet, just a much thinner one than I used to. My state still has yet to announce support for a digital ID, either.
Ever since getting on the MagSafe wallet train, it’s all I use now, and I don’t see myself going back. It’s one less thing to think about. Once it’s snapped on, I know my wallet and my iPhone together. As long as I have one, I have both.

Depending on the model you pick up, the Urban Fit holds two or three cards. It’s made from polyurethane leather with a bit of texture and grip, which makes pulling cards in and out easier than with Apple’s. The standout feature for me is still the flexibility in how you actually get a card out. You can push up from the bottom, push from the back, or just pull straight from the top, whichever is easier for you. This is a super minor thing to care about, but it’s a huge part of the MagSafe wallet experience.
