Right now, the resale value of the Pixel 10 is around $400, but with the Pixel 11 on its way, this could change slightly. That means you’d still have to sell your year-old Pixel and pay another $500 to upgrade to the newest Pixel.
That’s a lot of money essentially thrown down the toilet, as you’ve basically ‘rented’ the Pixel 10 for a year with nothing else to show for it. You might worry that the resale value will drop even further, but that’s not as true as you might think. We’ll get into the economics of waiting a bit later, but the takeaway is that upgrading from the Pixel 10 to the Pixel 11 will cost you hundreds, yet you won’t see a massive performance or feature upgrade to match.
