GoKawiilUK retailer leaks cheaper Philips Hue Play Sync Box Lite at £109.99
Retailer Very has published an early listing for an unannounced Philips Hue Play Sync Box Lite, a stripped-down version of Hue's HDMI light-syncing device. The Lite model offers just one HDMI input versus four on the current 8K model, caps out at 4K/60Hz, and drops IR remote support, but costs £109.99 versus £299.99 for the full version.

Hue's existing sync box has been criticized for its steep price, limiting adoption of ambient lighting features to enthusiasts with deep pockets. A budget option could bring synced smart lighting to a much wider audience, especially casual users with single-device setups like a console or streaming box.
- Hue Play Sync Box Lite spotted on UK retailer Very ahead of official announcement.
- Lite version has one HDMI input, 4K/60Hz cap, and no IR remote support.
- Priced at £109.99, roughly a third of the £299.99 premium 8K model.
