Sony revealed its September 2026 PlayStation Plus monthly games, headlined by MLB The Show 26 alongside Sniper Elite: Resistance, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. The games become available to subscribers at no extra cost starting September 1, though the overall lineup is being described as one of the less exciting rosters PS Plus has offered.

PS Plus's monthly game drops are a key selling point against rivals like Xbox Game Pass, so a comparatively weak lineup could dampen subscriber enthusiasm even in a month with strong retail releases like Marvel's Wolverine. It also highlights how sports titles like MLB The Show continue to serve as reliable subscription draws when other genres are thin.
- MLB The Show 26, Sniper Elite: Resistance, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes join PS Plus on September 1.
- The lineup is seen as underwhelming compared to typical monthly offerings.
- MLB The Show 26 features revamped hitting/pitching systems and expanded Road to the Show career progression.
