Both tablets will offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, while running Android 16 out of the box.
The Iconia X14 and the X16 will be available sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, per the company, with no word on their prices as of yet.
IFA 2026 is nearly here. Acer has already grabbed our attention with the Predator Atlas 7 gaming handheld, but that’s not the only hardware announcement to come from the electronics giant. On the heels of the annual consumer electronics expo in Berlin, Acer also revealed its latest addition to the Android tablet segment.
For those who follow Acer’s hardware launches closely, the manufacturer released the Iconia X14 at IFA last year along with the Iconia X12. This year’s IFA event adds a brand-new 16-inch model to the lineup, alongside the refreshed 14-inch variant. However, the company has skipped the Iconia X12 this time around. Both new tablets offer a metal chassis and will be available in a solitary Matte Black color, while retaining the kickstand.
Acer has equipped the Iconia X16 with a 16-inch 1,920 x 1,200 OLED screen, making it larger than most laptops on the market today. The Iconia X14 features a 14-inch OLED panel, also with the same resolution. However, the max brightness differs between the two. While the 14-inch model can reach up to 400 nits, the larger model maxes out at 300 nits.
Both tablets come with the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, which is a bit of a shock given that this particular chipset was released in early 2020. Meanwhile, the two tablets also offer dual USB-C ports, with one being video-only for external display output, and the other supporting standard tasks like data transfers and charging.
Additionally, the Iconia X14 and Iconia X16 will also feature an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing sensor, so expect identical camera performance from both tablets. On the audio front, both tablets will sport quad stereo speakers.
You might be disappointed if you’re hoping for more storage options, as the two devices are only available in a solitary 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. The company does offer a microSD card slot, however. Android 16 is the software of choice, with no word on whether any future updates are on the horizon.
Both tablets also share the same 8,000mAh battery pack and can run for up to 10 hours on a full charge, per the manufacturer. Acer will provide a tripod-style kickstand, while other accessories, like the detachable keyboard pictured above and the company’s Active stylus pen, will be sold separately.
