GoKawiilMiele Redesigns Cordless Vacuum Line with HX3 and HX3 Plus Aqua Ahead of IFA 2026
Miele previewed its new HX3 and HX3 Plus Aqua cordless vacuums at its Manhattan Experience Center ahead of IFA 2026 in Berlin, following criticism of last year's HX2 model for weak carpet performance and awkward handling. The updated design shifts weight distribution toward the base, lets users reposition the motor and bin, and adds push-button controls, easier bin emptying, automatic floor detection, and up to 70 minutes of runtime covering roughly 1,700 square feet per charge.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
Miele's cordless vacuums have struggled to compete with lighter, more capable rivals like Dyson and Shark despite the brand's premium reputation and price tag. These upgrades suggest Miele is responding directly to lab-tested shortcomings rather than offering a superficial refresh, which could make its high-end vacuums more competitive if performance gains hold up outside a controlled demo.
- Miele's HX3 and HX3 Plus Aqua rebalance weight toward the base to ease strain during use.
- New quality-of-life features include push-button controls, automatic floor detection, and easier bin emptying.
- Early hands-on demos show improved pickup on carpet and hard flooring compared to the criticized HX2.
