GoKawiilDyson launches Nurovi robot vacuum line with UV stain detection to rival Shark
Dyson has unveiled its Nurovi robot vacuum series, three models featuring UV light, AI vision and green LED sensors to identify around 200 household stains and spills. The flagship $1,199 R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, arriving September 15, uses a 12-point hydration system to heat water to 158°F for its self-cleaning microfiber roller mop, alongside a 30,000-pascal motor and self-emptying dustbin.

Dyson's robot vacuums have historically lagged behind rivals like Shark, Roborock and iRobot in cleaning performance, so this launch signals a serious push to close that gap with AI-driven stain recognition. By echoing features already found on Shark's UV Reveal line, Dyson is directly competing on smart-cleaning capability rather than just suction power, which could intensify competition in the premium robot vacuum market.
- Dyson's new Nurovi line includes three robot vacuums with UV stain detection and AI recognition of 200 substance types.
- The flagship R3 model costs $1,199, launches September 15, and uses heated water scrubbing plus a self-cleaning dock.
- The launch targets Shark's UV Reveal technology as Dyson aims to improve its historically mixed robot vacuum performance.
Shark UV Reveal Robot Vacuum & Mop — The article pits Dyson's new Nurovi lineup directly against Shark's UV stain-detection robots, so the Shark UV Reveal is the benchmark to beat right now. It uses UV light to spot dried-on messes and scrubs them while it maps and vacuums your floors, making it a strong pick if you want stain-hunting smarts today rather than waiting on Dyson's rollout.
