Lenovo has announced a slew of new products at IFA 2026, and while they are all interesting in their own way, it’s really Lenovo’s proof-of-concept designs that steal the show. The company showcased a concept design for the future of work laptops that’s sleek and lightweight yet still capable of handling most tasks.
Lenovo is calling it Project AeroBlade, and the concept showcased at IFA is a 14-inch laptop that’s less than 10mm thick and weighs less than 830g.

The company used magnesium-aluminum construction for the body and slimmed down the bezels to keep it extremely portable.
The company also removed fans from the AeroBlade but still claims that it offers “full performance.” Project AeroBlade uses a new cooling solution that Lenovo is calling “Active Flow.” It replaces fans with a solid-state active-cooling architecture to maintain cooling performance. The company says this enables sustained AI performance while reducing dust intake and complexity.
Lenovo’s Project AeroBlade is powered by an Intel processor, comes with Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 support, and an OLED display to boot.
