GoKawiilGoogle launches voice-driven Gemini Live modes for Gmail, Docs and Keep
Google has begun rolling out Gmail Live, Docs Live, and Keep Live, conversational AI tools that let users speak to these apps to find information, draft documents, or take notes. Users can ask Gmail Live to surface details buried in email threads, have Docs Live turn spoken descriptions into structured documents, and dictate notes naturally to Keep Live. The features, first shown at Google I/O in May, are now live globally in English on mobile, with availability varying by subscription tier and platform.

This push extends Gemini's voice-assistant capabilities directly into Google's most-used productivity apps, positioning conversational AI as a core interface rather than a separate chatbot experience. By gating the more advanced tools behind paid AI Pro and Ultra plans, Google is also using these features to drive subscription upgrades across its ecosystem.
- Gmail Live, Docs Live, and Keep Live enable hands-free, voice-based interaction with Google apps.
- Availability differs by platform and subscription: Gmail Live needs AI Plus/Pro/Ultra, Docs and Keep Live need Pro/Ultra.
- The rollout signals Google's strategy of embedding Gemini AI throughout its productivity suite to boost premium plan adoption.
