GoKawiilDyson’s HushJet air purifiers have been some of the most versatile air purifiers on the market, able to cool, purify and heat the air, so you get climate control capabilities in addition to purification. The new HushJet purifier range, announced at the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin, incorporates all of these capabilities with a complete redesign, and I was able to see all three models in person prior to the show.
The new HushJet models look like large, curved pipes, a design Dyson calls the “HushJet Nozzle.” It incorporates the directed-fan capabilities of the HushJet MiniCool Fan that we loved for portable summer cooling with the aerospace turbine design of the HushJet Compact for more consistent performance and reduced noise and turbulence.
The largest and most impressive of the units is the $1,099 Dyson HushJet Big Plus Quiet Cool Pure Plus Formaldehyde. The name is a mouthful, but it’s the company’s largest air purifier. It has the most powerful compressor and is designed to handle multiroom air purification and mixing. It even has wheels so it can be moved from room to room (it’s not self-propelled, unfortunately) and controls that let the nozzle-like head move and rotate in a way that’s vaguely reminiscent of a Dune sandworm. The head can tilt up and down, letting you angle the airflow for direct cooling or broader room circulation.

Impressively, despite the unit’s sheer size, I didn’t really hear the airflow except at the highest settings. Meanwhile, the sheer amount of air it emitted through the large, open demo area was impressive. I could really feel the air circulating and starting to clear up without it feeling like I was being blown directly by a fan. The unit can capture 99.99% of pollutants down to 0.01 microns and destroy formaldehyde, a chemical byproduct that can be present in many homes.
The medium-size $599 HushJet Pure Cool Plus Formaldehyde is the unit I expect most people to get because it’s on the more reasonable side while still delivering powerful purification and cooling. Dyson says it can deliver three times the purification of predecessors and still clean large spaces while acting as a fan to provide personal cooling.
The $599 HushJet Hot Cool Pure Plus is similar, but it adds heating capabilities in addition to the purification and cooling. Dyson describes it as a three-in-one unit that can also be useful as a space heater in the winter, not just a fan in the summer.
