GoKawiilApple is officially set to unveil its first foldable iPhone in a few hours. On the eve of the event, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has reported some last-minute details, including a spoiler for the foldable iPhone’s actual name: iPhone Duo.
iPhone Ultra is actually iPhone Duo
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is also Apple’s first with an inner and outer display. iPhone Duo, the one with two screens.
Gurman also reports that the price will cost as much as two iPhones: $1999. However, that’s considerably less than some analysts have predicted.
He reports that Apple is eating some of the cost of recent memory component price increases to keep the iPhone Duo at a competitive price.

Gurman also reports that the foldable iPhone Duo will “go on sale as early as October” without naming a release date. That’s potentially a few weeks later than the iPhone 18 Pro ship date, which is still expected for this month.
Apple Pencil support for iPhone Duo is also now anticipated after previously being considered but not expected.
