Apple may still be cleaning up after the end of the iPhone launch, but attention is already turning to an October event.
There are still a lot of new products we’re expecting the company to unveil, with the most exciting of these including touchscreen MacBooks and a smart home hub we’ve been dubbing the HomePad. But which ones will launch this year, and which ones will have to wait until next year … ?
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has laid out his latest expectations. He’s still being a little coy with exact timings, simply saying that some products will launch “later this year” rather than specifically in an October event. That could potentially allow for some launches next month and others closer to the end of the year.
This year
Gurman says we can expect six new products later this year:
Touchscreen MacBook Pro models (likely in 14- and 16-inch versions)
An updated 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip (non-touchscreen model)
A new iMac, although this will only be new colors and an M6 processor
HomePod mini 2, with Siri AI
Apple TV 4K, with Siri AI
