The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 is Samsung’s smaller mainline smartwatch, built for people who want a full-featured wearable without a bulky case. It has a round AMOLED display, a slimmer design than earlier standard models, and a polished look that works just as well for workouts as it does for daily wear. Right now, there’s also a solid Amazon deal on it.
This 40mm Bluetooth model runs Wear OS 6 with Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch, giving you access to apps on your wrist, Bluetooth calling, and smart voice features tied to Galaxy AI and Gemini. Health and wellness are a big part of the package, too, with fitness tracking, sleep tools, heart rate monitoring, and newer health insights all included. It works with Android phones through the Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health apps, so it fits neatly into an Android setup.
Battery life is rated at up to 40 hours with the always-on display turned off, or around 30 hours with it on, powered by a 325mAh battery. That should comfortably cover a full day and then some for most people. Amazon shoppers also give it a 4.4-star rating, which adds to the appeal.
As for the deal, Amazon has the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm, Bluetooth) down to $259.99 from its $299.99 RRP. That’s a $40 discount, or 13% off the recommended retail price. It has been cheaper before, but only during Prime Day, which still makes this a good time to grab Samsung’s latest compact smartwatch without paying full price.
