CyberPowerPC's SLC8500WST prebuilt pairs AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with Nvidia's RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, all for $2,299 at Walmart. The CPU and GPU alone typically cost over $2,000 when bought separately, making the bundled memory and storage essentially free by comparison.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
The RTX 5080 Founders Edition is notoriously hard to find at retail, so bundling it into an affordable prebuilt gives buyers rare access to Nvidia's reference design alongside the market's top gaming CPU. This deal also signals that prebuilt PC makers are increasingly using flagship hardware to undercut the cost of self-building a comparable system.
- The $2,299 price undercuts buying the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5080 Founders Edition separately, which already total over $2,000.
- 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory and a 1TB SSD are included at minimal added cost, unlike many prebuilts that skimp on secondary components.
- The RTX 5080 Founders Edition model is scarce at retail, making this bundle a notable way to obtain it without markup.
