GoKawiilAndroid Authority's October picks include Adobe Premiere and SongFlip music-link app
Android Authority's monthly roundup highlights new Android apps for October 2026, led by Adobe Premiere finally arriving on Android after launching on iPhone nearly a year earlier. The free app, with in-app purchases, offers short-form video editing tools, AI features requiring an Adobe account after free credits run out, and requires Android 13 or newer with at least 5GB of RAM. The list also features SongFlip, a free app from developer goork that addresses cross-platform music link sharing between streaming services.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
Premiere's delayed Android rollout suggests Adobe may prioritize iOS users first for major mobile features, which could affect how Android users perceive the platform's standing with major software makers. The RAM and OS requirements could exclude a meaningful share of older or budget Android devices from accessing the tool. SongFlip's niche focus points to ongoing friction in cross-platform music sharing that competing streaming services haven't yet resolved.
- Adobe Premiere is now available on Android, nearly a year after its iPhone debut.
- Premiere requires Android 13+ and 5GB of RAM, excluding many older devices.
- SongFlip addresses the problem of sharing music links across different streaming platforms.
