GoKawiilApple webpage hints suggest Siri AI could reach existing HomePod (2nd gen)
A leaker named pdfu spotted changes to Apple's HomePod 2 product page, including a glow effect matching the HomePod mini 2's Siri AI visuals and alt text describing a 'multi-colored Siri AI glow on top.' The HomePod mini 2 itself ships with Siri AI support enabled by its S10 chip, while the original HomePod mini lacks this capability.

The webpage details suggest Apple may extend Siri AI to the second-generation full-size HomePod, though 9to5Mac notes Apple has since replaced the images in question, leaving the implication unconfirmed. Apple has historically withheld software features from older hardware to encourage upgrades, so any expansion of Siri AI access could reflect a push toward broader adoption tied to Services revenue rather than confirmed plans.
- HomePod mini 2 uses an S10 chip enabling Siri AI, unlike the original mini.
- Apple's HomePod 2 product page briefly showed visual cues matching Siri AI's design before being changed.
- Any Siri AI rollout to older full-size HomePods remains unconfirmed and based on circumstantial website evidence.
