GoKawiilAmazon launches Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse always-listening AI devices
Amazon has released two new Bee-branded devices that continuously record and transcribe conversations: the $75 wristband or clip-on Bee Frontier, with up to seven days of battery life and improved noise filtering, and the $100 phone-mounted Bee Eclipse. Amazon says the devices generate summaries, spot recurring themes and suggest actions or purchases, while asserting raw audio is never stored and users can delete transcripts. The Bee Frontier ships Thursday; the Bee Eclipse is coming soon.

The launch builds on Amazon's July 2025 acquisition of Bee, pushing further into wearable, ambient AI that listens by default rather than on demand, which could normalize constant audio capture in everyday settings. Amazon's privacy claims rest on its own assurances about data handling, and independent verification of how transcripts and summaries are stored or used is not addressed. The move also signals Amazon's intent to compete in the emerging 'personal AI assistant' hardware category alongside other always-on wearable efforts.
