Apple's French regulatory website briefly listed a Smart Folio accessory with model number A3632, which doesn't match any current product. The filing, dated September 8, 2026, shows different recycled-material and rare-earth-element content compared to the existing iPad mini Smart Folio, according to MacRumors.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
A new model number and altered material composition suggest the case may not be interchangeable with current iPad mini covers, which could hint at a physical redesign of the device. This lends some weight to rumors that Apple's next iPad mini will feature design changes alongside an OLED display and new chip, though Apple has not confirmed any details.
