GoKawiilAntigravity cuts A1 drone bundle to $799 with watch-based 'Follow Me' kit
Antigravity is launching a new $799 version of its A1 drone that replaces the company's FPV goggles and motion controller with a wristwatch and ring for control. The 'Follow Me' kit lets users launch the drone by hand, then have it autonomously follow and film them while dodging obstacles, with manual adjustments possible via the watch's touchscreen or arm gestures using the ring. This is half the price of the original $1,599 complete headset-based setup.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
By stripping out the bulky headset, Antigravity appears to be targeting casual users who want hands-free action footage without the commitment of strapping on goggles, which could widen the drone's appeal beyond dedicated FPV hobbyists. The move also signals how drone makers are experimenting with wearable interfaces as a cheaper, more accessible alternative to traditional VR-style controls.
- Antigravity's new 'Follow Me' kit costs $799, half the price of the original $1,599 headset bundle.
- A wristwatch and ring replace the FPV goggles and motion controller for launching and steering the drone.
- The drone can autonomously follow and film a user while avoiding obstacles, with manual override options on the watch screen.
