GoKawiilXbox Cloud Gaming pay-as-you-go bundles begin at $3.99 for 10 hours
Microsoft has set introductory pricing for its new pay-as-you-go Xbox Cloud Gaming option, letting players buy cloud hours without an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Xbox Insiders can now purchase bundles of 10 hours for $3.99, 25 hours for $7.99, or 50 hours for $11.99, with unused hours carrying over indefinitely. The feature rolls out more broadly next month and includes ad-free streaming and faster load times.

Opening cloud gaming to non-subscribers could widen Xbox's reach beyond its existing Game Pass base, especially as big releases like Grand Theft Auto VI approach. Xbox strategy chief Matthew Ball has indicated GTA VI streaming won't extend to PC, suggesting Microsoft may be positioning cloud access as a console-linked perk rather than a universal streaming service. The parallel test of free, ad-supported streaming hints Microsoft is experimenting with multiple ways to monetize or expand cloud gaming beyond subscriptions.
- Pay-as-you-go Xbox Cloud Gaming starts at $3.99 for 10 hours, rolling out to Insiders first.
- Purchased hours don't expire monthly and include ad-free, higher-quality streaming.
- GTA VI cloud streaming reportedly won't be available on PC, per Xbox's Matthew Ball.
