GoKawiilEasySMX S10 Lite Switch 2 controller reviewed at $40 price point
EasySMX, a lesser-known accessory maker, has released the S10 Lite, a budget Switch 2 controller priced at around $40 versus the roughly $70 typical for rivals and $90 for Nintendo's own Pro Controller. The reviewer found tactile buttons, Hall effect sticks, motion controls and strong haptics, but criticized a semi-transparent, magnetically attached faceplate as wonky and cheap-feeling, along with marketing language around customization options deemed misleading.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
The low price suggests EasySMX is trying to undercut established brands like 8BitDo and Nintendo in the growing Switch 2 accessory market, though the reviewer's criticism of the faceplate and marketing claims could undercut that value proposition for buyers. This case illustrates the tension budget accessory makers face between cutting costs and maintaining build quality and honest marketing.

- The controller offers Hall effect sticks, tactile buttons, motion controls and strong haptics, according to the review.
- The reviewer criticized the removable magnetic faceplate's build quality and EasySMX's marketing language about customization options.
