Best Buy is automatically adding a $100 gift card to carts for customers preordering Apple's new touch-enabled MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display, available in 14- and 16-inch configurations, as well as the 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro. The credit appears in the checkout page's 'Complete your purchase' section.
GoKawiil's interpretation of the reporting above, not reported fact.
The promotion suggests Best Buy is trying to drive early sales of a premium, high-priced Apple product category where competition among retailers for preorder traffic can be intense. It also comes amid early hands-on impressions describing the new model's changes as incremental outside of the touchscreen and display improvements, which could make an added incentive more persuasive to undecided buyers.
- Best Buy adds a $100 gift card automatically to MacBook Pro PROLED preorders
- Offer covers 14- and 16-inch touch models and the 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro
- Early reviews note display improvements but call other changes modest
