The Resident Evil Reboot Found Someone Who Certainly Looks Like Leon S. Kennedy

Information on Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil reboot has been slowly trickling out in recent months, and now we may have our first casting. Per the Hollywood Reporter, actor Austin Abrams is looking like a potential frontrunner for the upcoming film. Last seen in 2024’s Wolfs and Penelope, Abrams has already worked with Cregger on Weapons, which is due out in August. At the moment, it’s unclear who Abrams is playing, but given his youthful look, might he be Leon S. Kennedy, one of the series’ main characters? Leon’s popped up in the previous live-action films—played by Johann Urb in Resident Evil: Retribution, and Avan Jogia in Welcome to Raccoon City—but as a supporting player to others like Alice or the Redfields.
