Scheffler enters the tournament as the favorite, but with a packed field of PGA big hitters such as defending champ Xander Schauffele and home turf hero Rory McIlroy at Portrush's Dunluce Course, alongside LIV star's John Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, and Brooks Koepka, it looks set to be the most fiercely contested major of the season.

This year's event marks just the third time that the Open has been held at Royal Portrush, with Ireland's Shane Lowry walking away with the title on the most recent occasion back in 2019.

Linear TV coverage in the US is split across NBC and USA Network, with streaming service Peacock also boasting the same coverage.
