The Apple Sports app, which allows users to track sports scores in real-time, today expanded its coverage of soccer. With the new 3.1 update, fans of the FA Community Shield soccer tournament can now follow along inside Apple Sports. Also notable is that the app is now available to download in Mexico. This means fans of Liga MX can now use the app for the first time to track the performance of their local teams, as well as how they fare in the MLS Leagues Cup. Apple also said the app has increased the amount of information it shows in the box scores. This is part of its ongoing mission to show more details about played matches, as it gradually expands beyond ‘just’ being a live score tracker. This is just the latest update for the application that Apple has continually improved since its launch in early 2024. In June, Apple redesigned the Sports app home screen layout and added support for tennis matches. You can download the Apple Sports app for free in the App Store. Unfortunately, the app is not available globally. As previously mentioned, version 3.1 add supports for Mexico, bringing the total supported regions to four: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and now Mexico.
