When Pokémon Concierge released in December 2023, we were immediately charmed by Dwarf Animation’s gorgeous, felt-covered spin on the world of Pokémon—and how the series resonated with the franchise’s older fans beyond gen-one nostalgia with its themes around work-life balance and burnout to provide the ultimate feel-good show. Now, we won’t have to wait much longer to check back into the Pokémon resort once again.
During today’s Pokémon Presents livestream, the Pokémon Company and Netflix revealed the first full trailer for Concierge season 2. Returning to the island resort, season 2 will follow Haru (Karen Fukuhara/Rena Nōnen) as she continues to thrive, having found her place working at the Pokémon resort, now helping visitors who were once like her find a space to relax and recenter from the hectic surroundings of the urban world.
And, of course, the real star of Concierge, Haru’s partner Pokémon Psyduck, will also be back and seemingly continue to be an absolute delight.
It won’t be all sunshine and rainbows though, it seems, as Haru will bump into her ex-boyfriend Kent and his Pokémon Arcanine after he checks into the resort. But we can’t imagine Concierge is a show where dramatic conflict lasts particularly long, so there’s no doubt they’ll probably get along just fine again shortly after their reunion.
Pokémon Concierge will return to Netflix for another batch of four episodes September 4.
