Here are all the details on Down Cemetery Road, coming soon to Apple TV+. Down Cemetery Road stars Emma Thompson investigating a complex small-town conspiracy Apple TV+ officially looks like the go-to streamer for new thrillers this fall. The series stars Emma Thompson as a private investigator and Ruth Wilson as the person who hires her. Here’s Apple’s official series summary: When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Tucker (Ruth Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Emma Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals that people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead. Down Cemetery Road is based on the book by Mick Herron, a name that Apple TV+ viewers should be familiar with. Herron also wrote the Slough House series of books that the hit series Slow Horses is based on. Speaking of Slow Horses, season 5 of that show arrives in September, and not-so-coincidentally will wrap up the very day that Down Cemetery Road premieres.
