Tim Cook hints Apple’s product roadmap is its most exciting ever

Apple CEO Tim Cook has long been skilled at talking up the company’s products. But in new remarks made just days ago, Cook hinted that he’s never been as excited about Apple’s product roadmap as now.

Cook has ‘never felt so much excitement’ about Apple’s product pipeline

Last week Apple leadership held an all-hands meeting with staff that covered a wide range of subjects. AI was a major focus, including updates on Siri’s delayed upgrades.

The meeting also reportedly came with some classic Tim Cook product hype.

Mark Gurman writes at Bloomberg:

The CEO also shared his enthusiasm about upcoming products, though he didn’t get specific. “I have never felt so much excitement and so much energy before as right now,” he said. […] “The product pipeline, which I can’t talk about: It’s amazing, guys. It’s amazing,” Cook said. “Some of it you’ll see soon, some of it will come later, but there’s a lot to see.”

Cook doesn’t shy away from hyperbole, but these statements are nonetheless even more enthusiastic than what we normally see from the CEO.

It’s been nearly 30 years since Cook joined Apple in 1998. During that time, the company has launched nearly all of its most popular products—including, of course, the iPhone.

So for Cook to say he’s “never felt so much excitement” about the product pipeline is significant.

Certainly Apple has a wider breadth of products than ever before.
