The hottest days of the year are upon us, and while outdoor summer activities are fun, you should know that prolonged sun exposure and ultraviolet rays can cause premature aging, sunburn and even skin cancer, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation -- and that's true all year round. Using sunscreen is one of the best ways to protect your skin from the damaging effects of the sun. On top of protecting from skin cancer, sunscreen also helps keep your skin youthful and prevents skin issues such as wrinkles, sagging and hyperpigmentation.
