After weeks of the Trump administration giving everyone—the press, the court system, its own staff—the runaround on who is in charge of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, we finally have an answer. According to a report from Semafor (and confirmed by government sources at numerous outlets), Amy Gleason is the acting administrator of DOGE. Which raises a new question: Who is Amy Gleason? Gleason, who lists herself on LinkedIn as a “Senior Advisor” at the United States Digital Service—the agency that was reorganized to serve as DOGE—is a healthcare executive who co-founded a no-longer operational telehealth company called CareSync and served as the Chief Product Officer at rural healthcare provider Main Street Health.
