While it's weirdly difficult to let go of old, disused laptops, desktops and printers, recycling old tech that just sits around your home and takes up space is important. And if you're in spring cleaning mode right now, there are some easy and sustainable options to clear out all that ancient tech. A CNET survey in April showed that 31% of US adults are still holding onto their unused old devices, including laptops, because they aren't sure what to do with them. The survey also found that 19% of respondents just toss old devices in the trash (which is actually illegal, and can draw hefty fines in some states), while 29% use a recycling service to dispose of old tech.
