Apple has started beta testing iOS 27.2, just days after releasing iOS 27 and confirming that iOS 27.1 will ship exclusively with the upcoming iPhone Duo on October 23. The new beta introduces a redesigned Health app with Insights, Longevity, and Browse tabs, including a Health age metric drawn from Apple Watch data, plus profile support in the Apple TV app for the first time on iOS.
Apple's iOS 27.2 beta expands FaceTime's Dual Capture feature, which shows a caller's front and rear camera views simultaneously, to Group FaceTime calls. Previously introduced in iOS 27, Dual Capture was limited to one-on-one calls; it requires an iPhone 17 or later, with other participants needing iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27 to view the dual streams.
Apple has rolled out several Apple Pay updates alongside iOS 27, including a redesigned checkout screen that lets users swipe between cards and view rewards, balances and pay-later details more easily. Apple and American Express also launched a partnership allowing customers to redeem Membership Rewards points directly at Apple Pay checkout, valued at 0.7 cents per point.
