Netflix has ordered a live-action series called Ravenloft, based on the Dungeons & Dragons setting, focusing on the origin story of vampire villain Strahd von Zarovich. Alfonso Cuarón will executive produce, while John August, known for writing several Tim Burton films, will pen the script.

OpenAI has rolled out GPT-6 Astra, calling it the most capable model it has ever deployed, with major upgrades in software engineering, computer/browser use, and cybersecurity. Microsoft will impose monthly streaming time limits on Xbox Cloud Gaming beginning in November, with Game Pass Essential, Premium, and Ultimate subscribers getting 5, 10, and 15 hours respectively. This practice follows a copyright settlement earlier this year in which courts determined that buying books and destroying them during the digitization process for AI training qualifies as fair use.
